Visa Application Requirements for an Korea, Republic of (South) Business Visa
Mandatory Arrival Card
All travellers to The Republic of Korea
are required to apply for a mandatory Arrival Card within 3 days before
arrival. The E-Arrival card can be applied for here free of
charge.
Please note
that:
The E-Arrival card is valid for
72 hours upon submission
The E-Arrival card is not an
electronic visa, it is simply an electronic form replacing the paper form that
travellers had to fill out before arrival. Both paper and electronic entry
declaration will be accepted until December
2025.
The following categories are
not required to submit an Arrival card:
Registered
residents in Korea (including permanent residents)
Foreign
national holding a valid K-ETA
Airline crew
members
ETA Eligibility
Travelers attending unpaid business meetings or business conferences may apply for a Business ETA. Please return to our homepage and select "Business Electronic" from our list of travel purposes.
Travelers engaged in profit-making activities must apply for a traditional business visa. Please follow the instructions on this page to obtain your business visa
Passport
You must provide your actual signed passport, including one copy of the personal information page of your passport. Your passport must:
Be valid for the next six months
Have at least one blank visa page (amendments and endorsement pages cannot be used to fulfill this requirement)
Not be frayed, torn, separating, or altered in any other way

Photographs
You must provide one color, passport-type photograph that meets the following criteria:
Be taken within the last three months and printed on high-quality photo paper
Be taken against an all white background
Be two inches by two inches
Provide the full frontal view of your head with your face centered in the middle and displaying a neutral (non-smiling) expression
You may wear neither eyeglasses nor headwear except for religious purposes
Your photo should not be affixed to your application and it may not display evidence of adhesive tape or staples
Business Cover Letter
You are required to provide a Business Cover Letter from your U.S.-based company. All letters must be printed on company letterhead that displays a U.S. mailing address. Use the included sample Business Cover Letter to complete your letter.
Visa Application Form
Complete your South Korea visa application form by logging onto https://travisa.com/formfill-order/korea-form after you have placed your order. This will ensure your documentation is accurately prepared and correctly submitted according to consular guidelines.
Alternatively, the visa application form can be filled in by the applicant. The application form must:
Include answers for all fields
Display your full name as it appears in your passport
Be signed
Proof of Travel Arrangements
You must provide a copy of your itinerary or e-ticket that displays your round trip travel and entry/exit dates for your destination.
Hotel Confirmation
You must provide a confirmation of your hotel accommodation during your trip.
Proof of Sufficient Funds
You must provide proof that you possess sufficient funds. Your financial details must include the three most recent consecutive bank statements.
Proof of State Residency
You must provide a proof of your current address of residency. The document must be a copy of the front and back of your driver's license or government ID. The copy must:
Display your name as it appears on your passport
Display the current residence address as provided on your visa application
Health Declaration
Due to the recent coronavirus concerns, the Consulate requires you to complete and sign the health declaration form found in this kit.

Do I have to send you my passport to get a Korea, Republic of (South) visa? Is it safe to send a passport?
You will need to send your actual passport, not a copy of it. The Korea, Republic of (South) visa is stamped on your passport and will become one of your passport pages. Visa requests cannot be processed without your original passport.
